Regarding a lot of news about Iran’s climate change, warming, the Urmia Lake, complete drying of seasonal rivers, and more effects such illnesses caused by dust and air pollution, respiratory disease, etc.
Drought and desertification have become a major challenge in Iran’s changing climate. Nasa put Iran on the top list of countries that going to have a water shortage in the next 20 years. Consequences of such warning are already evident throughout the country. The disappearance of Urmia Lake and many other rivers in the country is just a few examples. To capture such changing environment an 1800 km railroad from Tabriz in the north-west of Iran all the way to Shiraz in the south projects how the climate is been affected by evaporation of water and therefore social and natural lives.
Standing behind the window of the train, watching landscapes and passing places these images show scenes of drought and contradictory development in Iran.
